For your listening pleasure: Two dreamy tracks by Say Lou Lou

Screams vintage 70s Gucci

Ease and breeze into Monday with the new queens of dream pop, Elektra and Miranda Kilbey. This year, the fashionable 21-year-old Australian/Swedish twins have been getting attention and accolades from their heavy yet sweet-voiced dreamy sad songs that say so much.

Many a performer has lamented over the exhausting trials of touring, but these twins have a leg up, as they spent their youth logging frequent flier miles and serious jet lag from 24-hour flights between their father’s home in Australia and their mother’s place in Sweden.

GETTING GLOBAL PLAY

The duo’s track “Julian” (namely, The Chainsmokers Remix, which adds throbbing beats to this otherwise elegant ode to love) and the slow motion, dream-like “Fool of Me”, featuring a duet with electronic music producer Chet Faker, are the highlights of their repertoire.

However, not only are these girls making dazzling music, but they also make dazzling fashion and hairstyle statements with a retro style that harkens us back to the heyday of the iconic-glam Gucci jumpsuit, the vintage Yves Saint Laurent flowy black chiffon blouse, and the forever-cool Bianca-Jagger style white two-piece suit… and they match up their fine clothing with a an updated interpretation of the  feathered hair days of Farrah Fawcett, Stevie Nicks and Heather Locklear in the early 80s.

The Cherie Bomb puts the spotlights on this Girl Band because they make good music and good fashion. They’re going to be big.
