Electronic Music Artist Pictureplane’s Track with Stevie Nicks is Magical

When electronic music artist Travis Egedy, who goes by the stage name of Pictureplane, sampled the 1987 Fleetwood Mac song “Seven Wonders”, specifically focusing on the ethereal voice of the legendary gypsy goddess Stevie Nicks, the result was like something out of a dreamy electronic music fairy tale.

This amazing track was released to rave reviews in 2009 . . . Yes, four years ago. So why is The Cherie Bomb posting a song from 2009? Because nine out 10 of you have never heard this song. Electronic dance music doesn’t get the airplay and publicity that commercialized radio pop music gets, so unless you actively follow this genre or you’re an ardent musicophile, you’ll only hear the latest electronica through word of mouth, social media, on a blog or at a live gig.

There are so many self-produced, self-taught, cutting edge and piercingly innovative, gifted artists out there, but their music is sadly flowing away into the ethers because it doesn’t reach the masses. In this day and age of disposable boy bands, Justin Bieber and American Idol wannabe “artists”, The Cherie Bomb strives to bring you something better. Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll be posting some phenom music that can no longer sit in my music files, unshared and unloved.

Enjoy the trip: Pictureplane’s “Goth Star” with Fleetwood Mac’s “Seven Wonders”
